You will not show up and spend the first hour managing someone who doesn't know your undertones or can't work with your hair. That's not how this works.

Ask Nicole DirectlyYes. Nicole Griffin is the sole photographer, and sessions are completely private. No male staff, no assistants, no other people present during your session. The appointment-only structure means you won't encounter other clients either.
You're not the first person to bring this up on a consultation call, and I always appreciate it when people are honest with me about it. I've had conversations with women whose concern wasn't whether they could do boudoir, it was whether they could do it in a way where, if anyone ever saw it, they would feel okay about it. That's a real and fair line to draw, and it's one I fully respect.
Boudoir is like salsa. Mild, medium, or jalapeño hot. I've done sessions with women who kept almost everything on — a silk dress, a structured blazer, an oversized button-down shirt — and the images were still stunning. Still sensual. Still something worth keeping. You do not have to choose between your faith and this experience. We find where your line is and we build the whole session around that.
Completely. Nothing from your session is ever shared publicly without your explicit signed consent. Not your name, not your face, not a single image. Yes, and many clients do, especially first-timers. A friend can wait nearby or be present depending on the session. Just let Nicole know when you book.
From downtown DC you're usually looking at 45 to 60 minutes depending on traffic. From most of Northern Virginia, about the same. I shoot Saturdays, Sundays, and Mondays specifically because those are the days where hopping on 95 is not going to be painful. A lot of clients make the drive because they want a studio that was actually built for this — not a general portrait studio that added boudoir to the menu.
The session fee is $550, which includes professional hair and makeup, 90 minutes of guided photography, and your same-day reveal. Image collections start at $1,300. Most clients invest between $3,000 and $5,000. Full pricing details here.
Yes. Some of my most beautiful work has come from sessions where very little skin was showing. The intimacy of the image comes from the light, the framing, how you hold yourself — not from how much you're wearing. Your session is like salsa. You set the temperature and I work within it, the entire time.
A lot of clients do. An oversized shirt, a fitted dress, a robe, a blazer, a matching set that isn't technically lingerie. I've had clients spend most of their session in a sheet and walk away with some of the best images I've ever shot. There's no required uniform. I don't have a client closet either, honestly because I don't think that's very hygienic, but also because I want you to wear something that's actually yours — something you can put on later and remember how you felt that day.
Every kind. The attorney who runs a whole department and can't remember the last time she did something just for herself. The mom who doesn't really recognize her own face in the mirror anymore.
