If you have been thinking about doing a boudoir session, there is usually a deeper reason behind it. Most of my clients walk in feeling nervous or unsure and leave seeing themselves in a completely different way. This experience is about confidence, ownership of your body, and finally doing something that is fully for you. Many women tell me afterward they wish they had done it sooner.
Feeling nervous is completely normal. Almost every client tells me this beforehand. You are fully guided the entire time. I demonstrate each pose, coach you through movement, and create a calm, judgment-free environment so you never feel awkward or unsure. You do not have to show up confident. That is part of what we build together.
Absolutely. You are never expected to know how to pose yourself. I guide you step by step through flattering, natural movements and demonstrate everything first. My job is to make this feel easy and comfortable so you can relax and actually enjoy the experience.
Not at all. Boudoir is not one size fits all. Some clients love lingerie, while others prefer an oversized shirt, a silky robe, a fitted dress, or cozy layers that still feel sensual. Your session is customized around your comfort level and personal style.
I photograph women of all shapes, sizes, and backgrounds. Boudoir is not reserved for one body type or one stage of life. Your session is tailored to flatter your unique features and highlight what makes you feel your best.
Your privacy is extremely important to me. As a trusted DC boudoir photographer serving clients across Maryland and Northern Virginia, I never share images without your expressed written consent. Many clients choose to keep their photos completely private, and that choice is always respected. My private Baltimore studio is appointment-only with no other clients present, so you never have to worry about running into anyone.
Boudoir photography investments vary widely depending on the photographer and what is included. At Nicole Griffin Photography, your session fee is $550 and includes professional hair and makeup, expert posing guidance from start to finish, and your fully guided photography session. Your images are selected at a same-day reveal appointment and are sold separately. Most clients ultimately invest between $3,000 and $5,000 in their photographs and heirloom artwork. However, the minimum image investment is $1,300. Flexible payment plans and buy-now-pay-later options are available.
