Why I’m a Boudoir Photographer
Believe it or not I got into boudoir photography because of a man….
…But it's not what you are probably thinking. I had just experienced a bad break up. You know the saying that hurt people hurt people? Well that was him and that was what he did to me. Every bad thing that his ex did or said to him, he slowly started to do to me. I definitely ended that relationship depressed and not feeling the best about myself and my body.
I had to find ways to improve how I felt about myself. I did therapy, some internal work, even entertained a few new men . But still wasn't feeling my best. That's when I stumbled upon boudoir photography.
It was an amazingly beautiful way to celebrate all that a woman could be. And although I was scared, I said it was time to reclaim my identity and embrace all my curves. I loved it! I then wanted to share how I felt with other women.
In front of and behind the lens, I discovered the beauty in my imperfections and the power of self-love. With each shot, I captured not just moments frozen in time, but I shed the weight of past insecurities and learned to love every curve, every line, and every story etched on my skin.
The women who I have had the pleasure of working with, some have also experienced heartbreak and the societal pressures that come with aging or not being a size 2. With every client I photographed, we created a bond of shared vulnerability and strength. Through my lens, I offer a sanctuary of self-expression, a safe space to reclaim their bodies, rewrite their narratives, and embrace the fullness of their womanhood.
