I’m constantly learning from my clients. They have shared their stories, their fears, their concerns, their proud achievements, their victories, their vulnerabilities, their pain, and so much more. Once they have completed their boudoir experience, they usually say something like, “I don’t know why it took me so long to do this!” While exploring more, I have come across some lies women believe that is holding them back from booking their boudoir experience:

LIE #1: “I DON’T LOOK LIKE THE MODELS ON YOUR WEBSITE.”

First of all, EVERY single gorgeous woman on my website is a regular client - NOT a hired model - who gave me permission to show off her stunning images. Second, each of them also had the same thought: “I don’t look like a model.”

My passion for boudoir photography stems from the belief that this experience is for EVERY woman!

It is a transformational experience that reveals to you the beauty you already possess. It’s my job to show you how beautiful and sexy you truly are and to challenge the FALSE belief that you don’t have what it takes.

You DO have what it takes, no matter what shape, size, or age you are! Every brave woman who has booked a session with us found this out by trusting us throughout the process. That’s all it takes - trust that you have what it takes and that we know how to bring it out of you!

LIE # 2: “I DON’T THINK IT’S WORTH THE MONEY.”

Yes, good boudoir photography IS a significant investment of your time and money. But it is most certainly worth it. Here’s why.

I understand that boudoir photography is a very delicate process. If it’s done right, a boudoir session can positively impact you for the rest of your life, but if it’s not done right, it can negatively impact you just as much. When you choose to have this experience, it can be scary because, not only are you baring your skin, but at times you are baring your soul and that is an extremely courageous act of bravery. A good boudoir photographer understands this.

I know that it is a great responsibility to be trusted by my clients and I have put into place a process to ensure that my clients are well-informed and well-cared for throughout the experience. In order for me to craft enough of a margin to be able to give my clients the commitment they deserve, I have to charge a certain amount of money. And while it’s true that it’s an investment of your time and money, it’s also an investment of our heart and soul into you.

From the first moment you express interest in boudoir photography with me, I begin to carefully walk with you to discover your level of readiness. I don’t want to pressure anyone into this experience and I am truly here to discover how I can best meet you where you’re at. Once you decide to move forward, we’ll spend time on the phone before you are even asked if you’re ready to book a session. When you decide to book, you’ll get access to our resources that help set you up for the perfect boudoir experience, you’ll always be able to ask us anything. The day of your session is an event like no other - professional makeup, 2 hours of boudoir photography, and you are the center of our attention for the entire time. You’re treated like a queen! Then you will take a small break to come back later to view your gorgeous images, select your favorites, and decide which products you want to purchase. We custom design the layout of your luxury album set and you’ll get to have input on the layout before it gets sent to the lab to be printed. When your beautiful album set is ready to be picked up, I will schedule a time to meet you so I personally can give you your products and see the look on your face when you get to see the final results of the whole experience! By then we’ve become friends and it’s honestly hard to say goodbye!

At no point in your experience will you feel rushed or pressured. This experience is all about YOU and while it does require a time and financial investment, the real question isn’t whether you believe that boudoir photography is worth it or not. The real question is: do you believe that YOU’RE worth it?? I wholeheartedly believe that you are!!

LIE # 3: “I’LL HAVE TO GET NAKED OR WEAR SKIMPY LINGERIE.”

You do not have to get naked of wear skimpy lingerie for your boudoir session. While I certainly offer helpful guidance for your outfit choices, I don’t force you to wear a certain type of outfit or not wear an outfit at all.

Your reason for the session determines your wardrobe or the lack thereof. Once we discuss your reason, we offer suggestions for outfits that would work well for your desired outcome. We completely understand the anxiety of, “What should I wear?!” and provide well thought-out guides, consult calls, in-person meetings and video chats to help you decide which direction you’d like your session to go and what outfits are the best choices for your goals.

And whether you choose to be clothed throughout your entire session with t-shirts, sweaters, or nothing at all, I want you to know that what you’re comfortable with is perfectly fine! This is a space where you are free to express who you are and explore who you want to be.

We understand that lingerie is not for everybody so bring in your favorite dress or a t-shirt and booty shorts for your next boudoir session! You may be surprised how sexy you can look when you are wearing something you feel comfortable and confident in!

LIE #4: “I DON’T HAVE ANYONE TO DO THIS FOR.”

This might be my favorite lie to address. I hear this a lot, “I would love to do this but I don’t have anyone to do it for.” No ma’am! I wholeheartedly disagree!! You most certainly, most definitely, 100% have someone to do this for! In fact, it’s the MOST important person to ever do a boudoir session for. . . that person is YOU!!!

The BEST reason to do a boudoir session is for the person in mirror! In fact, even my clients who do plan to do a boudoir session for the purpose of gifting it to someone special, almost always end up realizing that the experience was actually a gift to themselves. The way it transforms how you see yourself, is a gift that can’t even be explained. It has to be experienced and it’s totally powerful. While giving boudoir photos as a gift is a fantastic idea, we believe that when you come into this experience as a gift for yourself, you are able to glean even more as you go through the journey with us.

So to those of you who say you have no one to do this for, I would love to show you that you most certainly do have someone to do this for!
